"I grew up with the steppe in my eye. Now I paint the masters to understand them β and then I forget everything and paint a horse."
Tejka is a Mongolian-American painter working in oil and acrylic. Her practice moves between careful studies after Klimt, Mucha, and Sargent, and purely original works β animals in landscape, flowers close-up, the world as she actually sees it.

Between logic and surrendersurrender
Every painting begins with structure β a grid, a reference, a measured composition. Then at some point the structure becomes a constraint, and the work pushes back.
Tejka works primarily in oil and acrylic, often on large-format canvas. Her studies after Klimt, Mucha, and Sargent are not copies β they are conversations.
